The programming of default activities when the vehicle’s ignition is switched on and off helps to avoid forgetting to configure the tachograph. These settings, which employers can access with their Company card, can be configured to optimally record working time and to avoid any reprocessing when preparing the payroll.

The flexible “out of scope” mode
When the vehicle is used under conditions where European labour law does not apply SmarTach offers an "out of scope" mode that deactivates the "driving without card" alarm, and does not record any infringements in the tachograph. This feature is especially useful when the vehicle is being maintained, in particular for rental firms (when washing or delivering the vehicle etc...).
