Click here to see calibration progress in video The station requires a flat area where a 90 degree « L » turn can be made with the vehicle to ensure a complete revolution of the wheel. By this method, the real wheel revolution length can be measured, and correction factors can be eliminated to ensure maximum precision of the calibration. For “speed” and “1000m” tests, a chassis with four synchronized rolls is used to ensure identical movements on both wheels on the axis. The measurements are made with adjustable photocells on each side of the chassis and reflective stickers applied to the tyres.
The chassis and measurements are operated from the control panel, which also connects to the UTP-10 for data exchange
