The SmarTach® helps drivers deal with the 561/2006/CE regulation

From April 11th, 2007, the 561/2006/CE regulation is applicable, and it has changed how the driver’s breaks are computed. The ACTIA SmarTach® includes a function to keep the driver informed about their driving status with respect to the new regulation.

The SmarTach® helps drivers manage their activity changes

With the SmarTach® activity reminder, the driver is alerted to manipulate his tachograph when the vehicle is switched on/off. 
The SmarTach® also allows to configure an automatic default activity upon vehicle switch-on/off. This relieves the driver from tachograph manipulation at the end of the day.

Execute maintenance on the vehicle with the “out of scope” mode

To stay compliant with EU regulations and to offer Actia innovative features to customers, Smartach make its “extras” available by software updates ! Done by registered stations within 15 minutes, updates avoid to remove tachograph and don’t interfere with recorded data.  

Remote downloading

Involved in the remote downloading standardization work, the new version of SmarTach® tachograph meets the official specifications on remote downloading of tachograph data.
Related with a telematics solution in the vehicle, truck drivers do not need to worry about the regular archiving of the data – it can be managed remotely with a centralized server in the fleet’s office or by a service provider.
The company card is connected to the PC of the fleet manager, inside the company premises and opens downloading rights. The on-board Smartach identifye the card and send data by GPRS network.

Fleet managers will appreciate to no longer chase vehicles and drivers due for data download. With a remote download system and a centralized server, tachograph data can be automatically downloaded, formatted into legal format files, and archived for future needs.
The SmarTach® Remote Download capability also opens the door to remote access to vehicle technical data such as km status, fuel consumption, rotational speeds, for fleet management and vehicle service alerts.
